Dawn Yap is a local singer-songwriter who has been active in the local music scene since she was 12. She is an alumnus of the School Of The Arts, Singapore, specialising in Music, and graduated with Distinction. She is classically trained in Music Theatre and Piano, and she is also a gifted guitarist. She has been busking on the streets for close to a year and also has a keen interest in Hip Hop Dance. Despite her young age, she has a slew of accolades under her belt. Her achievements are as follows:

• 2023: ‘SGSW: 我写我的歌’ Local Songwriting Competition, Best Vocal Performance and Top 10 Best Original Songs

• 2023: Mediacorp Channel 8 ‘游走的歌王’ Local Busking Competition, Top 16 Finalist

• 2023: VSing ‘绝对好声音’ Regional Singing Competition, Top 5 Finalist 

• 2022: ‘新空下 2022’ Local Xinyao Competition, Champion of Singing Category 

• 2022: UFM100.3 ‘广播歌王 Radio Singer’ Local Singing Competition, Top 10 Finalist 

• 2021: ‘SGSW: 我写我的歌’ Local Songwriting Competition 2021, Top 10 Finalist

• 2021: ‘金禾偶像歌唱比赛’ on Channel 8’s ‘Sheng Siong Show’, 1st Runner Up
